Unidirectional Flushing Program to Begin
Starting the week of October 14, the Environmental Utilities Department will begin Zone three (3) of its unidirectional flushing program. This is part of our continuing efforts to help eliminate any possible water color issues throughout the distribution system. Unidirectional flushing is a designed flushing program where crews flush certain hydrants along the City’s larger water mains. Crews will be flushing the mains at high rates, which will remove any possible sedimentation or deposited minerals in any City pipes.
Residents may notice a drop in water pressure while the flushing is occurring. Pressure should return shortly after the flushing has stopped. Crews will be working from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays only.
Which areas could be impacted by Flushing?
Zone three (3) is anticipated to take about 1 week to finish. The following neighborhoods/business's might feel effects from the unidirectional flushing program:

**NOTICE** Beginning May 1, 2019 the City will be enforcing new potable water irrigation restrictions. Please make sure that you adjust your irrigation timers accordingly, following the potable irrigation schedule below. Any resident found not to be in compliance with these new restrictions will be subject to violation notices and fines.

For water, backflow, or sewer concerns, City of St Cloud should be contacted first at 407-957-7344 prior to plumbing contractors to evaluate if the service of a plumber is necessary.
