Water Fitness Class
Water fitness class is only held if weather permits. Three (3) participants must be present to hold a class. This hour long class is geared towards adults.

Recreational Aquatic Youth Swim Team (R.A.Y.S.)
The R.A.Y.S. is the City's seasonal Recreational Aquatics Youth Swim Team. The R.A.Y.S. are great for any child who loves the water and is interested in competing in the sport of swimming. It is also an opportunity for those wanting to move from swim lessons to a swim team without the commitment required from a USA Swimming club team. To be eligible for the R.A.Y.S. a child must have been previously registered or be able to pass a swim test administered by one of our instructors. Fees will NOT be prorated for time missed. This class is for children ages 11-15. This course is designed to teach students the role and responsibilities of lifeguards. Students will learn signs to look for in an aquatic and/or land emergency, basic Life-guarding rescue skills, and be introduced to C.P.R., First Aid, and proper A.E.D. usage. They even shadow a Lifeguard who is on duty. Classes are held during Spring break and over the Summer. Total course fee: $50 for Osceola County or $60 for non-Osceola County residents.
Red Cross LIFEGUARD Class
This class is for ages 15 and older. This course is conducted following the guidelines from the American Red Cross. To participate in the class the student must pass a prerequisite swim test. To successfully complete the course and receive certification the student must attend all class sessions, complete all assigned homework, show competency in all skills, activities, and pass the written and final skills assessments. There must be four participants to hold a class. Total course fee: $275. Next class: May 4, 5 and 11th.
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course (W.S.I.)
The W.S.I. is a four day course that will certify you to teach all Red Cross Learn to Swim levels 1-6, Parent & Child, and Adults. In order to take the W.S.I. class you must be at least 16 years old and pass a Level 4 exit skills assessment. An overall skills assessment swim test will be conducted at the beginning of the course to determine swim level of participants so come on your first day of class prepared to swim. For the W.S.I. course you will be required to pay the facility fee for your course and then the instructor will email you the link to register with Red Cross. All classes are taught at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center located at 3001 17th Street, St. Cloud FL 34769.Total course fee: $300. $265 to City of St. Cloud and $35 registration to the American Red Cross. Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Course (L.G.I.)
The L.G.I. course is for certified lifeguards age of 17 or older who want to teach life-guarding courses. In order to take this course, participant must have a current lifeguard certification and pass the prerequisite swim and skills test conducted at the beginning of the course. You will be required to pay the facility fee for your course and then the instructor will email you the link to register with Red Cross. All classes are taught at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center located at 3001 17th Street, St. Cloud FL 34769. Total course fee: $300. $265 to City of St. Cloud and $35 registration to the American Red Cross.
