Smoke Alarms

Free Smoke Alarm Program

St. Cloud Fire Rescue has a free smoke alarm program, we provide smoke alarms free of charge to one- and two-family dwellings that do not currently have a working alarm. Smoke alarms provide an early warning to many fires, giving the occupants time to leave the home safely. This program is supported by the Red Cross and St. Cloud Fire Rescue assists by helping with installations.

The alarms are powered by long-life lithium batteries, which will last up to 10 years, eliminating the need to change batteries yearly. The alarms are given to residents living within the city limits.
