The City of St. Cloud and St. Cloud Main Street, Inc. are joining forces to help preserve the distinctive elements of the city’s historical culture and heritage.  Therefore, the City is proposing to adopt a Historic Preservation Overlay District and associated design guidelines.  Below are various documents related to the City’s efforts for ensuring meaningful public engagement as we move forward with the planning and implementation of this Overlay District.

In an effort to get the word out to the community and obtain feedback, Public Workshops have been held to discuss the Historic Preservation Overlay District.  The first Public Workshop was held at City Hall on October 12, 2016.  A second Public Workshop was hosted by Main Street on November 8, 2016.  Click here to view the Presentations shown at the Public Workshops.

The following Public Hearings have been held:

Planning Commission                November 15, 2016        6:00 pm
City Council - 1st Reading         November 17, 2016        6:30 pm
City Council - 2nd Reading        December 8, 2016          6:30 pm

Public Hearings were held at City Hall (Council Chambers - Building A - 3rd Floor).
