Kid's Night Out*

Parents - drop off your kids and give yourself four hours of free time! This is a monthly event with a changing theme.  Wear your bathing suit and cool off on the slip-n-slide,  participate in glow-in-the-dark bowling, making a "thinking rock",  or compete to see who's ice cube melts the fastest! Pizza and ice cream sundaes are included. 
Where:  Civic Center, 3001-17th Street

Movie at the Lakefront
A monthly event held the second Friday of the month at the lakefront beginning at sundown. 
 Where:  The Lakefront, 1104 Lakeshore Blvd
When:   Friday, September 11th

Get in the Dirt with Wirt
September’s class theme is “Falling Leaves and Changing Weather.”  We will be taking a trail walk to look at what is happening to our environment, collecting leaves, observing their colors and ending with a project to bring all of our fall findings together.  Please dress comfortably with closed toed-shoes and get ready to get dirty. Pre-registration is requested at the Civic Center front office located at 3001-17th Street. (There must be 3 participants to hold the class)

When:  Saturday, September 12th

Time:   1:00 – 3:00 pm
Ages:   7 – 11 years old
Cost:    $5.00 per child

Bluegrass Jam
A free event held the second Saturday of every month.  Musicians and spectators are welcome.  Bring your own instrument, chair and refreshments.  Alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited.

A monthly event offering free popcorn!
