A free weekly movie for kids aged 10 years and under.  For a list of the movies being shown over the summer, click here.

Get in the Dirt with Wirt
Augusts’ class theme is “Solitary Bee Boxes.”  Participants will make a solitary bee box to take home and hang for the bees from recycled tin cans and bamboo.  Please dress comfortably with closed toed-shoes and get ready to get dirty. Pre-registration is requested at the Civic Center front office located at 3001-17th Street. (There must be 3 participants to hold the class)

When:  Saturday, August 8

Time:   1:00 – 3:00 pm
Ages:   7 – 11 years old
Cost:    $5.00 per child


Bluegrass Jam
A free event held the second Saturday of every month.  Musicians and spectators are welcome.  Bring your own instrument, chair and refreshments.  Alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited.

Movie Matinee

A monthly event offering free popcorn!

Movie at the Lakefront
A monthly event held the second Friday of the month at the lakefront beginning at sundown.
Where:  The Lakefront, 1104 Lakeshore Blvd
When:    Friday, August 14

Movie:   “Home” (PG)
Cost:      FREE!
