Get in the Dirt with Wirt
October’s class theme is “Making Gifts with Natural Objects.”  You will make a few impressive crafts to take home and give as gifts just in time for the holidays or to keep for yourself!   Please dress comfortably with closed toed-shoes and get ready to get dirty. Pre-registration is requested at the Civic Center front office located at 3001-17th Street. (There must be 3 participants to hold the class)

When:  Saturday, October 10th
Time:    1:00 – 3:00 pm
Ages:    7 – 11 years old
Cost:    $5.00 per child

Bluegrass Jam
A free event held the second Saturday of every month.  Musicians and spectators are welcome.  Bring your own instrument, chair and refreshments.  Alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited.
Where: Peghorn Nature Park, 2101 Peghorn Way
When:  Saturday, October 10th

Time:   1:00 – 3:30 pm
Ages:   All 

Cost:    Free!

Kids Night Out
Parents - drop off your kids and give yourself four hours of free time!  This event has a changing theme; pizza and a pudding cup will be served.  Kids can get their faces painted and will participate in carnival type games such as tossing the bean bag, ring toss, and fishing.
Where: Civic Center, 3001-17th Street
When:  Saturday, October 10th
Time:    7:00-11:00pm
Ages:    6-11 years of age

Cost:    $15 for residents; $20 for non-residents
Theme: Halloween, carnival game night.
*Preregistration is not required.

Peghorn Nature Trail - Trail of Terror
Do you dare?   WARNING - This event may be too scary for younger children!
Where: Peghorn Nature Park, 2101 Peghorn Way
When:  October 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th.
Time:   8:00 - 11:00 pm
Cost:    $5 per person

Great Pumpkin Splash
Join us for pumpkin carving, arts, crafts, and games by the pool.
Where: Chris Lyle Aquatics Center
When:  Saturday, October 17th
Time:   12:00 - 3:00pm
Ages:    Geared for those 12 years and under
Cost:    $3 for residents; $4 for non-residents.
