Department Responsibilities
The basic function of the department is to manage personnel functions in support of the city including:

  • Compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Labor relations
  • Staff recruiting

In addition, the Human Resources Department is responsible for the development and enforcement of personnel rules and regulations as they pertain to the city employees. The department also administers employee benefits and compensation programs, and is responsible for risk management.
