Approved Fireworks
Only devices defined as sparklers are legal in Florida. Legal devices may include:
  • Booby traps
  • Cigarette loads
  • Glow worms
  • Party poppers
  • Snakes
  • Snappers
  • Sparklers
  • Trick matches
  • Trick noise makers

Prohibited Fireworks
Prohibited devices include those that fly or make a loud bang. Prohibited devices include firecrackers, M-80s, and bottle rockets.

Firework Safety
  • Do not attempt to light sparklers that have been damaged
  • Don't throw sparkler wires in the grass
  • Don't throw sparklers at people or vehicles
  • Keep a pail of water handy in which to place used sparkler wires
  • Use only in an area away from combustibles, brush, or buildings
  • Use only outdoors
  • Use only under adult supervision
