What can I do about speeders in my neighborhood?

   The St. Cloud Police Department takes every complaint seriously. If you have a complaint about speeders in your neighborhood, you can contact the St. Cloud Police Department anytime and relay the information to the Communications Unit, who will pass the information on to the Traffic Unit Supervisor. If you would like to speak to an officer immediately, one can be dispatched to your residence. The officer may extra patrol the area and relay your complaint to the Traffic Unit Supervisor. Once the information has been received by the Traffic Unit Supervisor, the Supervisor will add your location to the list of other traffic enforcement requests. Both patrol and traffic officers will then be deployed, as needed, to the location for the appropriate enforcement measures.

How do I obtain a copy of a police report and how much does it cost?

   There are three ways that someone can obtain a copy of a police report.  The first way is anyone can come to the St. Cloud Police Department, located at 4700 Neptune Road in St. Cloud, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and make a request to the Records Unit in person. Secondly, anyone can mail a request for a report to the Records Unit. And lastly, in certain circumstances, someone can make a request with the Records Unit by phone (depending on the type of report). There is no fee for any report request which contains less than 19 pages. Any request that would contain more than 19 pages the police department charges .15 cents per page. If the Records Unit has to conduct extensive research, the police department may charge $11.00 per hour for work that takes anything longer than a half hour.

Where do I go to be fingerprinted and obtain a Local Law Enforcement Records Check for employment purposes and how much does it cost?


   You can be electronically fingerprinted at the St. Cloud Police Department’s substation, located at the corner of 10th Street and New York Avenue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  The cost is ten dollars ($10.75) for residents of the City of St Cloud, and fifteen dollars ($16.13) for all other citizens.  If you do not have a fingerprint card; the police department can provide one for a cost of two dollars ($2.14) per card. 


Local Law Enforcement Records Checks can be completed at the St Cloud Police Department; Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the cost of ten dollars ($10.00) per check. This Records Check is strictly for local arrests.
