Green Spot Feature - Toilet Rebates
Thanks to South Florida Water Management District’s “Water Savings Incentive Program” (SIP) and their matching funds,
the City has exceeded our proposed 200 residential toilet rebates, actually providing 217 toilets to City residents!
It is estimated that over 2 million gallons of water per year will be saved by the new WaterSense high efficiency toilets (HETs) that were installed. As toilets account for roughly 1/3 of the average household water use, customers who changed to HETs will realize significant reduction of water costs month after month, year after year. Congratulations to those residents who took advantage of this opportunity to conserve water and to City staff who went the extra mile in bringing this program into the homes of our residents.
