All positions are currently subject to a hiring freeze until February 1, 2010.

St. Cloud Hiring Process

 

Applications will only be accepted for open positions. 

 

To be considered for employment, the application must be completed in its entirety, signed in the certification section, and the position for which you are applying - specified.  Resumes are acceptable if position applied for is clearly identified, however, if called in for an interview, you will be required to fill out and sign a City of St. Cloud application.      

 

A separate application must be submitted for each vacancy.  Photocopies will be acceptable. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

 

Human Resources must receive the application before the closing date.  Applications not submitted to Human Resources by the closing date will not be considered for employment.

 

Applications become inactive 30 calendar days from the closing date of the position announcement, or when position has been filled.

 

All information submitted is subject to verification.

 

Applications are screened by the Human Resources department.  Applicants that meet minimum requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for review and consideration for interviews.  The hiring department will only interview the most qualified applicants.  No notice will be provided to those not selected for interview.  

 

Only the candidate chosen to fill a position after the interview will be notified. 

 

If special disability accommodations are required, notify the City’s Human Resources Department in advance.

 

In accordance with the provisions of ADA, this document may be requested in an alternative format.

 

If claiming Veterans’ Preference, complete the Veterans’ Preference section.

 

The City of St. Cloud hires only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers.
