The Civil Engineering Division provides:

·      planning and design services

·      construction administration

·      Inspection

·      rights-of-way permitting

·      development review for sidewalks, bike paths, streets, and drainage infrastructure within the City’s service area. 

This division also administers the City’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Stormwater Utility.

The Civil Engineering Division personnel and City consultants have recently completed the permitting for the decommissioning of the City of St. Cloud’s Small Arms Firing Range.  Beginning in 2009, the hazardous materials will be removed from the berms and site will be improved.  These improvements will consist of the construction of a new fueling, maintenance and welding facility.
