SPECIAL OPERATIONS DIVISION

 


The St. Cloud Police Department's Special Operations Division consists of Evidence/Crime Scene Unit, Background Investigator/Recruiting and Tactical Operations.  The Special Operations Division is also responsible for the budget for the entire department.  The Special Operations Division is overseen by a division commander who holds the rank of Captain.

 

Capt. Dave Pierson



 

Captain Pierson joined the department in 1988 as a patrol officer. He served several years in the investigative division working as a detective and a drug investigator. He was later promoted to Sergeant and returned to the Patrol Division. In 2003, he was promoted to his current position as Captain.
